  • Every fucking time...

It's NEVER just an oil change.

This broke, that broke, this is overdue. Fuck.

I drive a 2006 Avalon w/ 85K miles... so no, it isn't a sports car but it isn't a Yugo. The latest? 2500 bucks for "front control arm/strut" work.

You can't stop life, can ya.

Also.. this dude put the car up on the lift, and physically showed me the stuff... so I don't think I'm getting screwed. But what do I know.

Is your asshole bleeding? If so, you may have been screwed.

At least a bleeding ass is something you can show off to your friends, and tell a story. New struts will never be seen again.

Got the oil changed on the Bonny last week. They found 2 leaky rear wheel cylinders. $400.

That's too much. I went to one place and got a quote for over $4000 for my 2006 Ridgeline.

I went to another place and they quoted me around $3000 which I talked them down to $2300.

They also told me that certain bushings and whatnot did not need to be replaced. Also, told me that the steering rack (that the first place wanted to replace) had oil on it, but it was from something else.

                  Shop around.

P.S. Find out if you have an interference engine in that Toyota as you may need a timing belt too.

I drink with the owner of the shop I take my vehicle to. Buying a few rounds goes a long way.
