  • Words You Mispronounce

If you read a lot, you'll come across words you see in literature, but never hear spoken. So you don't really know how to pronounce them, unless you know how to read that phonetic shit, which I don't. What words have you mispronounced, much to your embarrassment?

    I'll start:

    Quasi.
    Pseudo.
    Gaol.

Axe. "I want to swing an axe at your forehead." It comes out as 'ask'

                  Forte

                  /end thread

Pisses me off to no end.

Everyone has mispronounced this word for so long, that they've ADDED THE MISPRONUNCIATION to the dictionary.

I'm seeing a pattern here with poorly stolen French words.

Adjective: (especially as a direction) loud or loudly. As in a farting forte? Or forte farting?
