Although Jon Snow does seem to be an undeniable "good guy". Havent read the books so maybe there is more to him not shown on the show.
The books show him as a "GOOD GUY" for the most part. He has his downfalls but all around follows his "father's" teachings to lead

      • And I wanted to punch that fucking dude who said "your people can't fight." Fuck that guy. I doubt his people would have fared much better against a giant fucking dragon setting everything on fire.

        • The spar between Arya and Brienne was utterly fantastic along with the conflict it caused little finger.

That scene was so, so, so good.

                  • It's a little out there but I wonder if Tyrion was the one who pushed Jamie into the water. I feel like he was going to stop Jamie from killing Dany but ended up saving him instead? It's too predictable it was Bronn or that other guy.

My guess is that Bronn was the one that knocked him off the horse into the water but Tyrian will dive in and save him.

wait, I thought all the Lannister kids were dead. I'm thinking it was bron. I don't think its supposed to be a huge mystery who saved him. Just that he sunk in the water, which was ridiculously deep considering he was like 5 feet from the bank

the guy was too big to be Tyrion. unless its one of the better upcoming bait and switches we've seen. looked like a guy with a beard, so I don't think it was the second eldest Tarly son either, who many people may not realize is Samwell Tarly's younger brother. That was the Tarly family patriarch Jamie was asking for support from. The same one that disowned Samwell and his wildling bitch before Samwell took the Ancestral Blade. I think I spend more time flipping through Wikipedia to understand all the characters relationships than actually watching the show. should probably read the books actually, at this point they are almost two completely different stories.

Wait. You're right. The dude was just so hot I assumed him to be one of their kids. I may or may not have been a little high. I may rewatch. My kid wants to see the dragon / battle scene anyway.

the guy you are talking about is Samwell tarly's, not so little, little brother. They always made a big deal about Samwell taking the black because of some shame he brought his family, I just didn't think his family was all that important. Just seemed like a normal small castle for a local small time Lord. Didn't realize the Tarly family was big enough to be of service to the Lannisters.

I still don't think it was supposed to be a big deal about WHO pushed him off, just that he escaped certain death for an uncertain death.

Some other small thing that may have been missed by some viewers, that WAS Nameria. Arya's direwolf, who was leading a pack of normal wolves as arya made her way back to the home castle. When she said "no, that isn't you" she didn't mean it wasn't nameria. she meant, living a domesticated life as pet direwolf isn't the life Nameria would choose. The same way she told her dad "no, that isn't me" when her father told her she would one day "be a lady who is married off to some lord". It was showing how she and her long separated wolf are still kindred spirits. Wild and untamable. they could have put a 3 second clip in the intro "previously seen" segment to solidify that point. and it would have made sense with the HotPie scene anyway since he was like "I cant believe I thought you were a boy. youre pretty", harkening back to Arya refusing to act like the highborn lady she was intended to be.

and there may have been a easter egg of Caitlyn stark during the swordfight scene at winterfell. when arya tells Blonde Hightower that she swore to serve both Caitlyns children, a woman who could have been Caitlyn walks by in the background. In the books, she comes back as a good zombie. I think she is good. I believe that was a nod to an unused character from the books.
