  • CHEEZY's Incredibly Late TV Show review: Silicon Valley

Fucking fantastic. Great casting and characters. Solid writing and acting. If you havent seen it, give it a go. Binge watched the first 2 seasons and just started season 3 on demand last night. My only criticism is that it wouldnt hurt to have some random gratuitous nudity here and there. This is HBO after all...Also, I want to bang the bejeezus out of Amanda Crews.

Great show...I only wish they'd do more episodes per season.

I've been wanting to check out this show, definitely will. As far as 10 episodes per season, that's the secret sauce. Less is more.

Just finished Fargo season 3 - far better IMO.
I found Silicon Valley season 3 to be a massive struggle to get through. I might watch season 4 eventually but not now - too much to watch.

JMO but 6 episodes is perfect. A lot of British shows do 6 and it's my preference. Any USA show the first 3 are terrific, the last 3 are terrific and the middle number tries to stretch out story development regardless of how many there are to stretch through. 6 is just perfect for that reason. Mercy Street on PBS went this routes - terrific. Peaky Blinders? Some British shows just do 3 and they've been terrific also.

Yep, Peaky Blinders was 6 also. If it is a 50 minute show, 6 is good. If it is a 25 minute show, 10 can work.

Agree. 10 can work for a longer time show - rarely do they put in enough storyline. Bosch on Amazon Prime does. I expected to hate that show - love it. The Amerians go more than 10 - love it because they cram in all new plot lines the middle of the season. Grantchester will be deemed ghey but it's British and I really like it.

I love Silicon Valley. It does get a little tired how every other episode they are on the brink of disintegrating and then they stumble into a new way to save themselves. But Gilfoyle,D'nesh and Bachmann are really comedy gold in almost every scene.

I would tend to agree that smaller episode numbers increases the quality of the primary story but larger episode numbers would allow them to flesh out Bachman and the others characters a bit more.

One of the best soundtracks on TV.

                            Middle out. MIDDLE OUT!

                            Gut wrenchingly funny scene.

I'm a little bummed that we're not going to be hearing "JIN YANNNNGGG?!?!??!" anymore.
