I've never understood how someone gets to that point.
Unless they have a terminal disease that is a horrific death.

Huh, sounds like Chris Cornell was a friend.

Maybe this was like the stuff that happens at schools when someone suicides, others follow?

Six kids and this wife. How bad can your life be to leave those behind? I just don't get it.

Uhhh he was molested as a kid and suffered from depression. Unless the answer you were hoping for was something that made less sense like "he was super bored this morning and wanted to see if he was immortal!"

I'd like to offer my condolences to the widow, over a weekend in Cabo.

Depression is a terrible companion, r.i.p.

I remember when I first listened to their first album "Hybrid Theory". Not really my kind of music, but that album blew me away.

People that haven't dealt with depression have a hard time relating to those who are experiencing it. It's hard to really know what anyone is going through without having walked in their shoes.

Childhood scares from something like that rarely heal. Just always tragic when something like this happens, whether a person is famous or not. My biggest fear is leaving my family to soon. That's why it's hard for me to imagine that things would be so painful that to leave them like that.

That's true. I can't comprehend it because I've never been there.
One of my best friends in grade school battled it and killed himself freshman year of high school. It seemed to me he had everything in the world going for him. I found out about the depression from his sister when she wrote a book about it. (just looked it up, that book has sold over a million copies!)

My wife's friend killed himself right after graduation from high school. His parents found out about it from the blood leaking through to the family room from his bedroom upstairs (shotgun). I can't imagine either how parents get through that. How do they not see that in their mind every day for the rest of their lives?
