  • Ohio mom set for deportation following traffic violation

Really sorry she put herself into that situation. I feel bad for the family because I'm an old softy, but what part of "illegal immigrant" aren't people getting? She also had 20 years to become a citizen.

So what possible argument could be made? That we are tearing apart a family by sending her back? Actually, "WE" aren't tearing them apart, the mother did the second she stepped over the border illegally.

An Ohio mother of four was scheduled to be deported on Tuesday after authorities discovered her immigration status during a traffic stop last month. Beatriz Morelos, who

You'd think the mother of four U.S. citizens would get special consideration if she wanted to become a permanent resident, and encourage citizenship.

Not sure if that's how it has worked or is now working.

No criminal history? Being here illegally, and driving without a license not criminal anymore?

There has to be a middle ground for situations likes this. The kids get fucked more than anything. I know plenty of natural born citizens that add nothing to society that should be deported.

Take the kids away from the lawbreaker and give them to people who can take care of them properly

This mother has four "Anchor Babies", if she had of applied for legal status it most likely would have been granted, particularly under some of the more lax administrations. Breaking the law is not an excuse, but in this case she had an avenue to residency and never even bothered to use it. Send the stupid bitch back.

Did she and her family know she was illegally here? Did they take steps to correct it? Sorry, but I'm not gonna feel sorry for you if you CHOOSE to not correct your situation.

So the consensus here is she had a legitimate way of dealing with this legally that didn't involve deportation, and didn't follow through?

So then we're claiming she didn't do everything she should have to protect her family and kids? AKA parental neglect is a factor?

Car wreck, no license. Did she have insurance?

My bet is it's in father's name, if any at all. And insurance won't pay. Probably drop him too.

After Real ID laws, it's next to impossible to get a license if you're not here legally. And you're not going to get car insurance without one either.

You can purchase car insurance even without you having a license. I know this through experience. The thing is that it won't cover you. You need to list a licensed driver as the primary driver.

California has given out over 1 million driver licenses to illegals. I think Trump wants to use the DMV records to kick their asses out.

I'll give 100 to 1 odds the US taxpayer paid for all 4 of her kids birth and medical care, and that she was getting other assistance as well. There was a time when you couldn't come here unless you had proof you could support yourself, or had others already here who would sign on to do so.
