Yeah, that is pretty much what I said. Just the one symptom, a Clinically isolated syndrome, is not enough, and could be the first symptom of MS. So if they do another MRI in three months, they can see focal changes. If there are none, you simply blew a gasket somewhere in your head and it is not in a bad spot. This is the likely outcome. The MS people who have no signs in their fluid are like 10%.
For years my friend's mother was diagnosed with MS but finally they changed their diagnosis and said her disabilities were the result of brain damage from a stroke. That took about 15 years. She was in her early 50's, reasonably attractive, and was not obese. That's why they didn't think it was a stroke initially IMO.

It so hard to diagnose. Just another thing that makes MS so frustrating.

      • Hey Gunzen. There was an old unsolved mysteries where they said being stung by bees could put MS in remission. Did anything ever happen with that research?

I know a guy who tried it, but he is not doing well, so I guess there is that.

I work and see people every day that I don't know their name. Then again, I don't know their views on politics, what movies and tv they like, anything about their life or what they look like naked. Which group should I care more about?

                              • Excuse my laziness for not going through the whole thread but are they any further along with the diagnosis? How is this going to effect your deployment?
