  • House Intelligence Comm. Hearing

    So far,

    1) Trump's wire tap claim thoroughly debunked. ( Ok, Trump is a liar.)

    2) Trump campaign people are going to get seriously investigated over suspicious meetings, payments, and alterations to Ukraine policy in Republican platform.

    3) Republican members of the panel want to know who leaked the identity of Flynn (NSA is narrowing the list of people who has access to that info)

    4) FBI investigation into the Trump campaign active since July 2016.

    5) Every Republican member has been steering the discussion back toward the criminal leak of information (i.e. Flynn's identity as a party to NSA surveillance of Russian intelligence agents)

Also the fact that when Comey posted his potentially game changing letter about Clinton's emails, the fbi was at that time investigating the trump campaign ties to Russia.

Didn't someone ask if Obama had anything to with the FBI starting the investigation last July?

Ok, most of the major issues are out. Now we are diverging into reading allegations and other public knowledge into the record, by both Republicans and Democrats, with Comey and Rogers basically not able to reply.

            6) Major Democratic call for a criminal investigation of Flynn.

              7) More Republicans talking about leaks.

              8) Democrats steering the conversation back to Trump/Trump campaign - Russia connection re. - Ukraine invasion(s)(Crimea/Eastern Ukraine) by Russia/sanction relief and non-intervention as a quid pro quo

Ooops - Rex Tillerson's name just came up as a friend of Russia.

The most harrowing thing I've seen is Comey and Rogers stating that Russia did interfere with and attack our democratic institutions, they got Trump elected, they will be back in 2018 and 2020... and Republicans response is that's just the way the ball bounces, Russians like Republicans can't do anything about that. Simply dismissing the evidence as unimportant is an act of collusion. They arte basically saying "what if we make policies that are good for business? Will that make Russian attacks on our democracy ok?"

Kinda reminds me of what Obama said about terror attacks in America, "Get used to it. It's the new normal".

I don't see these two things as related at all. How does that even make sense to you?

So, in one case a hostile foreign power colludes with Americans and is invited to attack specific targets, in the other a hostile party carries out random attacks.

Is that the comparison you're trying to make ?

I almost feel bad for Democrats. The moment they have to come to terms with losing the election is going to be terrible.
I don't know if their fragile sense of superiority will be able to absorb such a blow.

                              lol
