  • Devin Nunes Cancels House Intelligence Committee Meetings Amid Growing Questions

this guy is a real peach.

But Nunes said in interviews Monday night that he has no intention of stepping down.

Im sure the Democrats do want me to quit because they know that Im quite effective at getting to the bottom of things. he told Fox News Bill OReilly.

That is an interesting defense, given all he has done with his life is earn a masters an Ag science and engage in partisan politics.

Schiff, his fellow Congressman from California and co-chair, is a former US attorney that has already prosecuted people for passing classified documents to the Russians.

Russian state bank says it met with Kushner

        http://www.sfgate.com/news/politics/...b-11030888.php

VEB said in Monday's statement carried by state RIA Novosti news agency that it met with Kushner last year as part of 'road show' discussions with representatives of leading financial institutions in Europe, Asia and the United States.

The White House said Kushner was "doing his job" by reaching out to foreign officials.

He didn't have "his job" until January 20th, 2017. He was not a part of the government, and we have laws about civilians contacting foreign officials. Especially when it's foreign officials under sanctions by the US.

So Nunes won't recuse himself, won't hear any more testimony and this is ok with Speaker Ryan.

This is how Rupublicans investigate possible treason ?

I guess justice is suspended til mid term elections.

There's a veritable Texas BBQ of smoke but no fire as of yet. Even if Congress isn't actively reviewing the entanglements in Trump's taxes that doesn't mean no one is. When the FBI singles out a suspect in the campaign Congress will act. Maybe still with too much deference to Trump.

Hmm... The company that Nunes lists as his single largest personal investment suddenly scrubbed all references to doing business in Russia

If you think he's only worth $50k, I have some real estate you might be interested in.

Looks like Ezra Cohen-Watnick is the link from Trump to Nunes.
Starting to look like obstruction of justice, 18 U.S. Code

One of the aides was brought to the WH by Comrade Flynn. Trump should be totally stoked that they've finally caught two of the leakers!

                        For waht?

Y'all do realize that what was brought out wasn't related to Russia. They keep mentioning Russia to make you think it's tied, but the info is dealing with the mishandling of intelligence reports.

Shit, ya can't even copy a simple sentence.

Anyway, what all the shit is about is the release of the names of US citizens in intel reports. It's kinda against the law to unmask them and release them.
Even the article mentions it, but immediately returns to the Russian squirrels to keep you from noticing.

                        Here's the rub...
If there was FISA approval for the unmasking of the names, then Trump was right that the previous admin was spying on him and his team.
If there wasn't FISA approval, then someone is staring down 10 years in federal prison for illegally unmasking the names of US citizens in intel reports.

Keep an eye on Gowdy on this, He knows his shit and is ripping Comey and the intelligence community apart for this fuckup.

You seem to be pretty sure about what was in the reports considering it hasn't been shared yet. Apparently the names in the report were not a result of them being under "incidental investigation" but as a result of having been mentioned in conversations by the people being surveilled...so its more of a gray area as to whether their names needed to be masked.

Also you have Nunes in a catch 22 situation of his own doing:

So far it seems even more likely that the leak Republicans are so set on finding is very likely someone high up in Trump's circle, since they seemed to know more about Flynn's talks with the ambassador than anyone else, they are all sloppy, unprofessional and vindictive with serious infighting and tribalism.

You cannot have the names of US citizens in any report unless you have a FISA courts approval. It's as simple as that.

The ACLU was to instrumental in making sure those protections were in place under Bush.

Jan 10th the NSA was cleared to dump raw data to all agencies.

But feel free to ignore this.

btw Gowdy is also very vocal about having an independent investigation into ties with Russia, so I'd ignore him.
