  • Spicer: Syrian chemical attack a 'consequence' of Obama 'weakness'

Good red meat comments for the ODS'ers but I'm curious how the Trump administration is handling things any differently other than just talking a big game and pointing fingers.
White House press secretary Sean Spicer told reporters Tuesday that a gas attack in a rebel-controlled area of Syria was perpetrated by the forces tied to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and are a "consequence of the past administration's weakness and irresolution."

The latest jobs report? Thanks Trump!

    Syrian chemical attack? Obama'a fault!

I'm surprised that yesterday's Russia subway attack isn't proof that terrorists are afraid to attack USA now that Trump is in charge.

Typical idiotic equivalency. We can't even be on the same side condemning this type of heinous action without blaming the opposite political party along with the savages that pulled it off? Remind me how saying we have no plans to depose Assad helps us when he gasses his own people? But yeah, blame Obama after Trump already said we have no plans on holding Assad accountable for anything. That gives him the moral high ground somehow In bizarro Trumpworld?

Wasn't this sort of thing going to stop once Trump got into office? Because he doesn't stand for this kind of thing?
Who knew that international relations could be so complex and unpredictable?

5 days after Nikki Haley announced that the Trump administration no longer considered it a priority that Assad be removed from power Assad starts gassing his people. And then jets blow up the hospital treating the victims

                I hardly find that coincidental.

Sean Sphincter. That's the nick his school paper gave him in an article he published.

                      Heartbreaking footage!

Sphincter trying to turn dying women and children into political daggers is almost as disgusting as the last 10 seconds of the video.

Yeah, no line in the sand to stop it.

Not that it ever stopped it.

Which tact do you want? Say bad things about it or go head to head with Russia?
The previous admin chose the former.
                        You want the latter now?

Really, I'm not full bore against the previous admin on this. They chose to not intervene directly because it's a fucking shitstorm.
Yeah, it's bullshit evil, but pick a direction. Either we stay the fuck out of their internal bullshit or we start massive shit in the ME.

                        Obama policy or Bush policy.
                        Pick one.

Yes that was the entire point. Why not just agree this was a shitty thing that happened. Trump isn't going to attack Assad over it so what is the point of pretending his stance is somehow less shitty or more enlightened? Needless bullshit.

Again, SSDD. It's kabuki politics. Bullshit propaganda for the masses.
I ain't taking Trumps side. I'm actually taking O's side.

His only mistake was saying we would do something. Fuck that. His bluff got called and he folded but he stayed in the game another hand. Sometimes you have to make the wise move. I'm ok with it.
