  • Ossaff doesn't reach 50%

This was a huge blow. They basically hit right about what they did with Hillary. Runoff in July, they are gone lose that.

No matter what you guys try, millions spent, Russia, grabbing pussies, the Dems cannot get any traction. This is the biggest political story of the month so far.

Go go start another story about how Trump is losing control, or approval ratings.

Ossaff got almost exactly what Hillary did. They haven't gained an inch.

Unless of course, Russia was behind this?

Yeah he only reached 48.3% of the vote in a place that normally goes red by 20-30 points and hasn't elected a dem since 79. What a disaster for the dems and glowing endorsement of the Donald.

He was running against 11 different republicans. He needed to get to 50. He didn't. This is absolutely a huge loss for the Dems.

"Ossoff's failure to settle the election on Tuesday comes despite over $8 million that was raised by his campaign, which was seen by Democrats as the first chance to make an electoral statement after the defeat it was dealt last November."

lol ok all the money and efforts by Rosie o Fatass and Chelsea Handjob was not enough. I love this shit.

This was was supposed to be an indictment on Trump, the Dems chance to show their mettle. This was a HUGE letdown.

The Dems are so damn apathetic. They whine and complain but can't be bothered to have a cohesive message and vote. 2018 is gonna be great.

If Ossaff win this threre would be three threads here about it by now. "Here come the Dems!!!!" ?

          Special elections usually mean nothing.
Dems thought they had a shot as Hill did fairly good there.
The story would be entirely different if Dems had simply split their money between 2 candidates.
You'd have a runoff with just them.

So it stays Newt's seat for another round.
          meh.

Dims win it's a bellwether. They lose and it was red anyhow. They threw all they had at this little election. Pulled out all the stops, celebs, The Whole 9 yards.

time for a new message, perhaps.

The Dims tried awfully hard there. And they gave it a really good shot. While they certainly didnt do as well as they hoped it is still a bit of message sender. Its twofold: 1.) Theyre gonna have to put a LOT of fucking effort to sway red areas. 2.) With that herculean effort at least some progress (in their eyes) can be made.

Except it won't work in a regular election.

You had 3 known Republican candidates with 9 others taking swings at each other, and one Dem candidate (technically 3, but they sat out) along with 2 Indy.

Throw over 90% money from out of state...

It was a shot that won't be there under normal circumstances.

But dippy doodle still has nearly 5 mil to throw at the runoff.

                  Still highly unlikely he'll win.

Keep crowing. Romney won the district by 23 points. Tom Price (guy they are voting to replace) won by 62 percent in '16.

With Dim successes like this, it shouldnt be long to eradicate them completely

A swing of 20 points is a bellwether, if that seat ain't safe not many are.

Its a pretty good win considering how district lines were drawn there...
In a recent interview with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, state senator Fran Millar (R-Dunwoody) brazenly laughed at the suggestion that 30-year-old anti-Trump Democrat Jon Ossoff could eventually become the representative for Georgia's 6th Congressional District.

"I'll be very blunt: These lines were not drawn to get Hank Johnson's protege to be my representative. And you didn't hear that," Millar told the Journal-Constitution, referring to an African American Congressman from Georgia's 4th District. "They were not drawn for that purpose, OK? They were not drawn for that purpose."

Lets revisit after the run-off. The GOP candidate will win by double digits

You're expecting massively increased turnout for the runoff?
