Right. The timing of your newfound nihilism is a real mystery.

Is it? Other than getting rid of Trump, what's the plan?
Let's look ahead to the next President and assume it's a Democrat. What's the plan? What's the great cure for the dysfunctional system?

If you've given up all hope, just end it now. The rest of us will carry on. Say hi to Coyote for me.

Maybe putting someone in that doesn't want to intentionally or worse unintentionally destroy all of our government agencies and institutions through incompetence, appointing people who want to destroy the agencies they run, and who don't openly antagonize all parties who don't agree as if every issue no matter how minor or major is a zero sum game that must be won at all costs? Probably a good start. It isn't a perfect system but it certainly hasn't been nudged in the right direction by this disaster it has been attempted to be thrown off a cliff. And now you want to just shitcan it all instead of saying that the person responsible for trying to throw it off a cliff was maybe a bad idea in retrospect. Nah, that is probably asking too much.

See, that's the nation in a nutshell.

Thats an awful lot of words for saying 'Continue to fund and prop up all govt agencies and create even more'

Righties dont want to hear it, but a perfect constitutional and political storm is brewing and I fear it wont end well.
The Trump bump was based on fantasy, but as bubbles go I'd expect it's a pretty small one. Just a reset to where it should have been if people didn't believe trump could do anything. He isn't going to get major tax reforms, but the flip side is he won't be able to fuck up trade too much either, so the bump and the mini crash should both be oscillations around the fairly steady real value of stuff. There's a reason why it's called hard and soft indicators. My take.

But yeah, probably cash out and buy gold and tinned goods, just in case.

I know you are planning for cut and run.

                    Something else they don't understand.

A nation basically run by gunzen or brass. Pick a side.

More like just because a dumpster fire in office probably isn't gonna work out I'm not ready to jump of a cliff or press the self destruct button. There is a middle ground between blowing up DC, fleeing the country, or completely succumbing to our government overlords.

I dunno...the USD has been getting crushed, especially compared to the GBP and EUR. Puts a temp wrench in my plans

Good luck with that. The sirens on each side dont give a fuck about a middle ground.

The market is going to drop another 350 points tomorrow morning after the Mueller announcement.

Yup. Each day that goes by where the market thinks the R agenda won't go through is another few ticks down.

Markets love stability and pro business people.
