what was your first night in county like for those of you who have ever spent any time in jail?

my first night was in county jail in el paso county tx. i knew i was gonna be there for a bit so i got comfortable. unfortanutley i had no idea i would be moved to the real county jail but thats another story. anyway my first night there i figured i was stuck so i showered and watched a stephen king movie called rose red or something to that effect. really probably the least distracting night in jail i ever spent.

I actually saw the jail I was in on Cops San Diego. Everytime six guys with red and green bracelets were in the holding tank, they would be whisked away to the anal probe room right next door. Never so glad to be wearing 1 bracelet.

my first time in jail was in harlingen, I was caught intoxicated at a campus party.

I woke up in the Austin jail, with no idea how I'd gotten there, when they came to release me. I was out with my roommate the night before, but they had no record of him being there. Luckily, the time I spent sleeping there covered all fines, etc., so I literally walked out free and clear. When I got home, my roommate wasn't there either. His sisters finally found him in a parking space on Sixth Street at about 10 am, asleep in his car, with the seatbelt on.

First time I was in jail, I got to walk around and look at all the people play in the big yard, played catch with one of the drug sniffing dogs in the field behind the prison and sat in a shitty office. The I went home.


I was about 9 years old. Yea I was a fucking badass 9 year old. fucking shanked a snitch too

its odd.. jail is a whole other world. people say the weirdest things about it. but county jail is like time out. you can watch tv and shower and shit but some of your basic liberties are at stake. its still not nearly as bad as tv makes it ou to be. a firend who spent 2 years in prison said its no picnic but stll not as bad as they make it out to be.
