I don't watch westerns

and in fact I don't think I've seen one since my dad would watch them when I was five years old. Now I find myself wanting to see if I'd be more interested in the genre as an adult, but I don't know where to start. So my question is, what would you say is a good western to watch, so I can get a feel for whether or not I would enjoy the genre and want to explore it further?

How about 'There Will be Blood.'

Not exactly about the old west, but it's a period movie from that time.



Actually, the more I think about it, There Will be Blood is more old west than 99% of the movies out there because it takes place in California...how much more west can you get? It always gets me how Kansas and Missouri can be called "the old west"
