"The mere fact that the Russians are building the next generation of bombers means that we need something or we need to accept that the Americans will do it for us," Huebert said.
The Americans will always help you, you sorry bastards.
Yeah,sold us a shitload of F-22's and F-35's.
Let me see if I get this right.....
Best marksman - Canadian
Best fighter pilots - Canadian
Best ground forces - Canadian
How many have you lost in Afghanistan so far compared to us (and we've been there since the get go, not fighting for oil)?
Also,we don't pay to off ourselves (i.e. Pakistan is being funded by the US only in turn, fund and aid the same fuckers you are fighting - the Taliban). Bravo.![]()
I can take a joke as well as anyone but, read up on shit before you post.
(or if you like, I can read it to you)

You read up on it. You guys have far fewer soldiers over there than we do which is why far less are dying:

I thought the only Canadians killed in Afghanistan were killed by us by accident. Sorry 'bout that.
That took long.

"Du weisst, Gefreiter, wenn die Englaender uns bombardieren, dann ducken wir uns. Wenn die Deutschen Euch bombardieren, dann duckt Ihr Euch, wenn die Amerikaner uns bombardieren, dann ducken wir uns alle." (You know lance corporal, when the English bomb us, we duck, when the Germans bomb you duck, when the Americans bomb, we both duck.)
Yeah...a couple of points...
The Russians have been probing Canadian and US airspace for decades, not just since 2007. They stopped for a few years after the Soviet Union collapsed, then started again a few years ago. We do it to them, and China, all the time.
The Tu-95 Bear has been in service since 1956; it's their equivalent of the B-52. Like us, they already have other, more modern bombers available. What do they use when they want to flex their muscles? The Tu-95.
Despite the denial, the "military analyst" quoted in the article is absolutely using the incursion as justification for Canada's purchase of advanced fighters. I don't have any quarrel with upgrading their fleet of CF-18's, but don't use some routine probe by 50-year-old prop planes to do it.
There are at least dozens of pictures of Tu-95's being intercepted by US and Canadian fighters on the webs: http://xrl.us/bhuuvg
I remember years ago seeing a pic of a US fighter pilot flying really close to a Bear and giving them the finger. Can't find it now.

When we were running sorties in the North Atlantic We'd intercept them a lot. Our pilots used to carry signs in Russian that said "Fuck You!" They'd get up on the Bears wing & stick the sign up against their canopy. The Ruskys would just laugh & break off.
Why so much hate on the Canasians? Prolly only one of the real allies we have left.. We tried to "liberate" them in the war of 1812 and failed miserably... Do we have to get on everyones bad side?
