That last TD by Clemson was a blatant pick play.

Mike & Mike, the local ESPN morning radio show, had three different football players on it saying that that was always going to be considered a legal play, and it was a good non-call.

They also said Alabama dbacks played it wrong, and with proper positioning they would've gotten an interference call.

Not when the DB initiates contact is isn't.

Did they discuss the fate of draft joiner Deshaun Watson?

I've read pundits today saying as high as #1 to a 3rd rounder, critics claim "He's not a pocket passer".

So it wasn't illegal but if the DBs had been properly positioned it would have been illegal?
The WR runs right into the DB and falls in the process while the slot receiver runs underneath. That's what a pick play is all about and Notre Dame got called on it against FSU. If the WR doesn't fall down and continues his route - not a pick.

The inside DB had to move back to get around the fallen WR. The DB couldn't play bump coverage because the slot receiver was playing off the line.

I can understand not calling it - it's still a pick play. Watson after the game referred to it as a pick. Dabo referred to it as a "rub".

Pretty much said it might depend on how he performs at the combines.
