McDaniels was such a genius in Denver he traded up for Tebow.

Because Belichick fucked up his first chance too and owners want to believe they might get lucky on a McDaniel's second roll.

As far as the money goes, what else does Jacksonville have to offer besides more money than LA or SF.

On the other hand, Jax GM David Caldwell was a college teammate of McDaniels and the expectations are less plus you have a hands off owner.

So are you declaring now Jimmy G won't garner a 1st?

I would settle for a 2nd and then a 3rd which BB will trade for two 4's.

Cool, then shoot down those damn Seahawks Matthew.

Its your moment, you've had 7 years apprenticeship and so its now time to dominate on the big stage.

How can you not cheer for a team with a OC named Jim Bob Cooter (32), maybe he rescues a catatonic Caldwell on the sidelines by pulling the challenge flag out of his sock.

Since there isn't a UJ Colts fan I will post this here......

PFT- At a time when the silence has become increasingly deafening in Indianapolis, there’s been a development. Sort of. Maybe.

Per Alex Marvez of SportingNews.com, Colts coach Chuck Pagano has received an assurance from owner Jim Irsay that he’ll be back in 2017.

Update- Colts GM Ryan Grigson also returning

            Lions yes, Texans maybe not.

That old unnamed source still claims that there is friction between 10 year GM Rick Smith and HC Bill O'Brien.

I would love to see a power struggle won by a coach for a change.

Oh no, the NFL hasn't run out of stupidity yet. Someone will part with a first rounder or more to the Pats for him.

Belichick HAS to have a secret hideaway where no one can see him rolling on the floor laughing his ass off at their stupidity. Might share it with their GM too.

Jim Bob Cooter has to be the coolest NFL coach name ever. Need to keep him around just for that, if nothing else.

The Steelers have an exceptionally high level of institutional culture. There aren't many franchises like the Steelers. IMO, the best head coaches aren't actually coaches calling plays - they are team leaders and more like team managers. Tomlin appears to be terrific at that. There is zero doubt that Billy B is a terrific team manager in New England the way he can exchange parts so easily.

A coordinator moving to HC gives up play calling so why is their performance as coordinator deemed important?

Jim Bob Cooter would be the coolest name for a NASCAR pit crew chief. Not for the NFL.

Former Bills HC Doug Marrone will be named the new Jacksonville Head Coach.

Tom Coughlin to be hired as executive VP.

GM Rick Smith is the one on the hottest GM hot seat in the NFL. He's the one who engineered (overruling O'Brien's concerns) spending $70 million+ for Osweiler based on what? 5 or 7 NFL starts.

The Bills have “zeroed in” on Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott as their next head coach, Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News reported Tuesday night.
Carucci wrote that the Bills and McDermott could have a deal finalized “in the next day or so.”

McDermott, 42, interviewed with the 49ers on Tuesday and previously interviewed with the Chargers in addition to the Bills. McDermott just finished his sixth season as defensive coordinator of the Panthers and prior to that held the same role with the Eagles.

I'm hoping he says no thanks to the Bills and takes the Chargers job.

The rumor is that any minute now John Elway will announce they have picked Vance Joseph the current DC of the Miami Dolphins.

So all the other GMs can exhale now that the Rooney rule story disappears for another year.
