  • NSFW Hey HBO members, who would you like to see on 2017 Hard Knocks?

    Browns.
    Colts.
    Ravens.
    Titans.
    Saints.
    Bears.
    Eagles.
    Buccaneers.

PFT headline today was Brown's HC Hue Jackson was not enamored to be on the 2017 Hard Knocks which led to their poll.

I think NO would be my first choice just because I know little about undersized and underrated HOF QB Drew Brees. I would be interested to see how the partying town atmosphere influences the team and why the Saints are incapable of playing defense.

Plus Sean Payton seems intriguing from afar and wonder why other teams are supposedly so interested.

      Whoops, fuck that.

Tough call then on watching either car wreck Pagano in Indy or villainous Ravens coach John Harbaugh.

        Browns might be entertaining.

We've had nothing but hard knocks since 1959.

For me, HBO should wait until after the draft before choosing a team, especially relating to Cleveland.

If they get Myles Garrett at #1 and a QB at #12 and release RG3 then it could be entertaining as I want feel good stories which is often hard to find in Cleveland.

I would find that hard to watch as I have so little respect for HC Jim Caldwell.

On the other hand, I know nothing about QB Mathew Stafford off the field.

He was born in Texas so will be as unimpressive mentally as Ryan Tannehill was?

I like Caldwell. I feel he's the right guy for the job. He has a pretty solid track record with his coaching in Indy and Baltimore.
It's no secret that Stafford is a great QB, I just think he doesn't have the right toolbox in his offense to accentuate his talents.

I think the premise behind the Hard Knoks show is that they follow a team who is rebuilding or on the cusp of rising up and becoming a serious contender in the league. Then they follow their journey as they address their weaknesses and build upon their strengths as they climb their way back to the top.
It's obvious the Lions have made great strides in the last couple years, but they are missing a certain part of the equation and I think in the coming years, they will eventually find that missing part.
I'm probably a little biased, but I think they would be perfect candidates for the show.
