Nascar tried so hard to go mainstream. They forgot who go them there. When they started closing tracks in their backyard and moving them to places with less of a following they went downhill. Raising ticket prices, gouging their fans on packages, they screwed themselves. The hotels-motels got in on the gouging the fans also, minimum 3-4 night stays for a sunday race. The economy had some to do with it, but their attitude toward their hard care fans was what killed it.

You don’t take away the emotional connection that fans built with drivers like Darrell Waltrip, Bill Elliott, Dale Jarrett. Those guys worked hard for years before they won. Now, they just plunk an unknown teenager in a car with a huge sponsor and he wins. Big deal.

          Preach on, sister!
And that furthers gunzen's blasting of Danica, she still can't crack the top 20 with the best equipment.

Looks like Danica lost her sponsorship deal, that was the only thing keeping her in the seat. I doubt she'll have a ride after this year unless she shows vast improvement.(Very unlikely).

I read that as well, but I have a feeling because of her popularity she will get a new major sponsor quick enough to save her ride. I doubt she will improve at all, maybe because she is too stubborn to listen to advice. How could you not learn working for Smoke? I wonder if she is holding her man back a bit, he has shown flashes of top 10 skill without actual overall results. Give Rickey her ride and I bet he is in the chase every year.

He does sometimes, just hard to tell what he is saying with a dick in his mouth.

She didn't even have a major sponser this year. Her contract it up, and she won't get a top ride. She better retire. If you put her in a car like Boyer had she will lapped 10 times a race.

You can't ruin something that was already terrible.

What do they expect at a short-track race? ... My God, the sole objective of most of the drivers is just to finish the race with all 4 fenders still on their car.

Get rid of the short-track races!

I have to admit, the new format has been fun. A lot more racing and the restarts are cool. I really like this better than last year.

You are talking about your wheelchair Racing League right?

Apparently Carl Edwards didn't think so.

I like the stage racing as well, two thumbs up from me.
