Tim Tebow has his first multi-hit game of the spring for the New York Mets.

Tebow, batting seventh and playing right field, collected hits in his first-two at-bats on Wednesday against the Miami Marlins.

The first was an opposite-field grounder that ate up Miami Marlins third baseman Derek Dietrich. The official scorer ruled it an infield single. The second came in the top of the fifth on a liner to center field offf right-hander Stephen Fife.

Tebow now has three hits in his last five at-bats. For the spring, he is 3-for-13 with four strikeouts.

The former Heisman Trophy winner and NFL quarterback now has more hits as touchdown passes he threw against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2012 AFC wild card game.

On Monday, Tebow hit an opposite-field single off Miami Marlins right-hander Kyle Lobstein to lead off the bottom of the fifth inning. It was his first hit after an 0-for-8 start.

Tebow, who wasn't expected to be with the team, has remained with the Mets because they are short on players because of the World Baseball Classic and split-squad games.

So people weigh in with your Tebow baseball career prediction, does he ever hit .200+ in AAA?

IMO if he did somehow make it to AAA ball he doesn't deserve to be there as some owner is just using him as a seat filling attraction much like Bill Veeck and Eddie Gaedel.

I wonder how a 29 devout Christian like Tebow will end up co-existing amongst teenage horndogs?

Maybe the other players won't mind him if they pick-up the overflow of women that he attracts.

On the other hand blue balls and lack of sleep they get from trying to score with Tim's groupies might fuck with their game as they will be lucky to get a hardpressed amateur handjob at 5 in the morning.

Personally I would like to see Tebow fall off the holly roller bandwagon and have a debauched baseball minor league career chasing groupies and making it rain at strip clubs as he hangs with baseball buds writing a daily diary and afterwards produces a book called Ball 15.

The book would have a happy ending at the end as TT rediscovers his faith and he goes onto a lifelong evangelical tour in the heartland calling himself Timmy Sunday.

Adrian Peterson's Minnesota career is over as Vikings have signed former Raider RB Latavius Murray, no mention of money yet.

So AP should join up with a southern NFL team where they're a little more forgiving about how one raises their own kids.

Local Pats firestorm this morning as a well respected ESPN Boston writer speculates that single CB Malcolm Butler has off the field concerns where as Gilmore is married with 2 kids and apparently seen as more stable.

Mike Reiss's story is getting hammered this morning in the twitter universe and as they wonder who or what's behind it.

Pats fans are over sensitive to this shit ever since Aaron Hernandez left the Patriots.

It begs the question why would BB diminish an asset when he's trying to extract the highest value in a Malcom Butler trade?

Maybe he showed up a Boston blue blood party and asked where the white women at.

So the forever entitled Patriot fans are wearing out the refresh button at local sorts websites over the last 5 days as they wait out Malcolm Butler's contract status,

Would good friends HC 's Payton and Belichick agree to entice a another NFL team waiting in the weeds to overpay for Butler in a NFL version of a 3 way trade.

Michael Lombardi opines that its a dumb move for NO to pay Butler $10 million plus when they have so little cap room.

So expand the trade, Pats have $27 million in cap space so include costly veterans like Max Unger and Pats will give you a cheaper option in Pats center David Andrews and they will trade 3 inexpensive linebackers for one expensive one of yours.

FYI- Pats HC Belichick now has made trades with every NFL team except the Jets, somethings a man never gets over.

Its 7 days in March now that Patriot Nation has been held captive by the fate of Malcolm Butler and what totally sucks is my weekly morning fix Good Morning Football is 6 days into a 10 day "vacation" so I have no sports safe zone if I want to avoid anything basketball related or politics.

I wonder how long the NFL Network would have allowed GMF to spend on Dwight Clark and Gail Sayers health.

I don't miss the NFL Network smoking ads though where I keep spilling things as I quickly reach for the mute button on the remote.

I've never smoked NFL, customize your ads. and give me a choice of the dollar shave club or that magic duct tape guy.

I want the Raiders to win a postseason game, and lock up Carr and Mack. Signing Cook was a great move. Carr had no tight end option, and Cooks upside is Michael Finley numbers.

They could use another DB, but their offense should keep them in games. Losing Murray won't be a factor, and signing the best kick returner in the NFL will help too. If Carr stays healthy, a fun year and a legit chance to make a deep run.

                  Beastmode rumors, meh.

Cook is a career underachiever. In 9 years his best season was 700 yds and 5 td's. Yawn.
And I sure hope you meant to say Jermichael Finley. Because Michael Finley plays basketball.

He will be a threat in the middle of the field. If you watched the Raiders they could not beat the cover two because they were weak up the middle.Pay attention. I might start calling you Slap or Beagle.

Both Richard and Washington averaged more yard per carry, They carried the ball 25 less times for 170 more yards. They will be fine. Murray was a product of a great o-line, and had more fumbles than runs of over 40 yards. Richard and Washington are far more explosive. With Corredell returning kicks/punts, they will be fresher and healthier. Murry is not a no 1 back, he was their no.1 cause he had more carries. He was good on the goal line, but there is no reason to expect the raiders younger duo and Cook cannot pick up that slack.

Murray was 21st ranked just ahead of Terence West. 4.0 YPC behind that line? One run of over 40 yds? He had just over 200 more yards than Colin Kapernick.

Well, this is mildly amusing. Allow me to play the Devil's advocate.

How could Cook NOT improve going from the Rams to the Packers who have an elite coaching staff and he was taking passes from Aaron Rodgers? He's a career underachiever who landed in a great spot for one year. The team made him look better than he actually is.
Your linked article from PFF was an interesting read but there are several TE's in the league that are far more deserving of that article than Cook.
In Cook's one year in Green Bay he played in 10 games and had 377 yds on 30 catches and 1 TD.

                              10 games. 377 yds. 1 TD
This is the most improved TE in football? Seriously?

If it wasn't for the catch he made at the end of the Dallas/Green Bay playoff game no one would even know his name right now.

I think he has the tools, and will be an improvement in the red zone. Last year the Raiders had a lot of double coverage over the top in Amari because they could not exploit the cover 2, which everyone in the world knows is beaten over the middle. They also struggled a bit in the red zone at the end of he year.

I didnt say he was Antonio Gates, but he is a definite upgrade over Waldorf and Rivera. And he will again be paired with a good QB. I think people get too hung up and fantasy football stats. Just having him in the middle softens coverage as the safety's in cover two cannot just sit on top of Amari and ignore Roberts.

Youll see. He won't have a ton of yards. But Amari will be better and their red zone will be better.

You can't just look at stats man. The fact that he commands a crowd compared to the Raiders abysmal TE's from last year will be huge.
