  • Some shocking Cleveland Browns stats that will leave you speechless.

The 2017 NFL salary cap is $167,000,000. The Browns have $50,123,269 rollover cap from 2016.
That gives the Browns a 2017 salary cap of $217,123,269.

The current Cleveland Browns 61 man roster accounts for $115,117,772.
That gives the Cleveland Browns $102,005,497 of cap space in 2017.

    Incredible.
They could literally replace their entire team with the amount of cap space they have.

I wish they could make the NFL salary cap easier to understand. For example shouldn't Cleveland be penalized for not spending closer to the 2016 salary cap? Can't they change all the dead cap money rules and make it easier to make trades.

There is a cap floor, and there are penalties for not going over it. But the Browns made it over the cap floor last year. Barely.

I hear they're going to spend it on designing new uniforms.

They're saving all that $ to resign Johnny Manziel, Josh Gordon and Justin Gilbert.
