  • Colin Kaepernick's Days of Kneeling for Anthem Are Over

Colin Kaepernick is declaring victory and ending his protest of the national anthem, ESPN reports. After kneeling for the anthem during every game of 2016, the quarterback says he'll stand during the 2017 NFL season. According to USA Today, Kaepernick started kneeling to protest police brutality and racial inequality.
He says the country is now having a conversation about social inequality thanks in part to his kneeling and the protests of other athletes who joined him. He says further kneeling would only distract from that conversation. Kaepernick, who donated $1 million to organizations around the country in addition to kneeling, was honored by the 49ers at the end of the season. He'll reportedly opt out of his 49ers contract and become a free agent next week.

Glad all the injustices are now over. His job is done. This has nothing with him being a free agent, its about injustices. Have a nice career with the Alouettes

After the second week of his boycott, the media had moved on from the topic. He had to ride it out till the end of the season. Now he's a free agent with lite interest from teams, so he's trying to make himself look more singable. The fact that he was dating or is dating some nut job female radical never made the mainstream media, which is surprising considering all the different angles the media plays on every subject. Boycott or no boycott, his accuracy is still atrocious.

Just because he was kneeling during it didn't mean he couldn't be singing the anthem.

The ending of oppression and him becoming a free agent both at the same time! What are the odds?
