Katherine Ann Berman, 67, was driving a Lexus SC 430 east on Sherman Hill Road in Woodbury around 2:15 p.m. when a Ford Escape rear-ended her, state police say. The impact sent Katherine Berman's vehicle veering off the roadway and down a small embankment. It flipped over into a small body of water, authorities say. She died at the scene. She and Chris Berman had been married for more than three decades; the couple had two children.
The driver of the Ford, 87-year-old Edward Bertulis, initially survived the crash -- he collided with a utility pole and his vehicle ended up overturned in the center of the roadway -- but died of his injuries at a hospital.

Never a fan of Bermans but that really blows. Ironic that she was hit in the back, back, back.

Terrible news, I have a feeling his new limited role with ESPN will decrease further. Just tragic. RIP

Still wondering how many 87 year olds are really capable of driving safely, especially a heavy missile like an SUV.

P.S. Though that's one of those "crossovers," so it's just really a sedan with an SUV body.

Chris Berman is single again? Someone should let Slap know.

Old folks driving. I wonder why they do it every time I drive through my park.

That's only in traffic jams. I can't do traffic jams.

What they expect when they're driving the car upside-down?
